Matthew 5:10

Matthew 5:10 “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”

The way of this world is not righteousness.  Even where things are not socially evil, righteousness is not what is being pursued.  Therefore, when you pursue righteousness in all spheres of life, persecution will come.  But take heart, while others make it clear that you’re not accepted, Jesus has already established your place forever in His Kingdom.
