Learn More About Foundations of Grace
“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6
At Grace Fellowship we believe that the biblical model and responsibility of training up children in the ways of the Lord primarily belongs to parents. Therefore, we encourage and equip parents to lead and love their children through Family Discipleship: teaching your children about our King Jesus through intentional conversations, family worship, prayer, discipline, and teachable moments.
Whether you are parenting with your spouse, a single parent, or the primary caregiver our goal is to come alongside you as you are discipling your children by helping equip you as their primary disciple-maker. We desire for you to grow mature in Christ as you are leading your family toward Christ. We want to help you and your family as you continue to know God, love God, and live on mission for God.

Babies
Ages 0 - Walkers
In this room your baby will be well cared for while also being prayed for and sung to about the goodness of our King Jesus.
Movers
Walking - 24 months
In this room your child will play a lot. More than that they will be prayed for, begin to hear and sing along with Jesus centered music as well as be read to from books that lift up Jesus and teach foundational truths to your little one.
Littles
2 and 3 Year Olds
Your littles will be engaged in a lot of play during their time in this classroom. They will also use the Gospel Story Curriculum to hear a story from scripture and learn how it is pointing to our hope in Jesus. In this class they will be introduced to the New City Catechism and continue to hear and learn Jesus exalting music.
Preschool
4 and 5 Year Olds
Our goal with our preschool children is to continue to build upon the foundation of truth that they have been learning in the previous classes: Jesus is King and all of scripture is pointing to Him. This is accomplished by using the Gospel Story Curriculum (Preschool Edition) that is designed to teach your preschooler the truth from all of scripture by teaching a lesson from the Old or New Testament and then answering the question “Where is Jesus?” Alongside this curriculum we will use the New City Catechism, both of which offer great at home resources to help in your Family Discipleship.
Lower Elementary
1st - 3rd Grade
Our goal with our lower elementary aged children is to continue to build upon the foundation of truth that they have been learning in the previous classes: Jesus is King and all of scripture is pointing to Him. This is accomplished by using the Gospel Story Curriculum (Lower Elementary Edition) that is designed to teach your child the truth from all of scripture by teaching a lesson from the Old or New Testament and then answering the question “Where is Jesus?” Alongside this curriculum we will use the New City Catechism, both of which offer great at home resources to help in your Family Discipleship. At this age we will also introduce your children to foundational doctrines that we as a church hold to like the 5 Solas (or 5 Alone Statements), the Apostle’s Creed, The Nicene Creed, and the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith and other historical and tested documents of the faith.
Upper Elementary
4th - 5th Grade
Our goal with our upper elementary aged children is to continue to build upon the foundation of truth that they have been learning in the previous classes: Jesus is King and all of scripture is pointing to Him. This is accomplished by using the Gospel Story Curriculum (Upper Elementary Edition) that is designed to teach your child the truth from all of scripture by teaching a lesson from the Old or New Testament and then answering the question “Where is Jesus?” Alongside this curriculum we will use the New City Catechism, both of which offer great at home resources to help in your Family Discipleship. 6th Graders
We recognize that this age is a tough place for your child to be… are they a part of the children’s ministry or the youth ministry? Children’s ministry may be too childish for them while they may not be mature enough to be a part of the youth group. We want to partner with you in helping your 6th grader find their place among the body of Grace Fellowship. We hold to the conviction that by this age, if not earlier, your child should be attending the main worship service with you. However, we do allow 6th graders to serve alongside classroom leaders in Foundations of Grace as long as it is not on a regular basis. We also leave it open for you as the parent to allow your 6th grader to attend the youth group that meets on Wednesday nights. If you want to talk further about this contact David Ryan and he’d love to help you figure out what is best for your 6th grader.
*Children in 5th grade and below will only be allowed to serve in other classrooms on the Sunday mornings that their parents are serving in Foundations of Grace. While we do want our children to serve and be excited about serving we believe that it is better for children of this age to be in corporate worship with their family or in their age specific classroom during our Sunday morning gathering.
