John 8:34-36

John 8:34-36“Jesus answered them, ‘Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who practices sin is a slave to sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.’”

Christian, how sweet is it to know that you are no longer a slave to sin? You are now a son or daughter who has been set free by the Son. You didn’t free yourself from sin and you don’t free yourself from sin. He freed you, is freeing you and will free you, indeed! You are an adopted son or daughter, empowered by the Holy Spirit to put sin to death and you get to remain in the house forever. Praise God!
