Ephesians 1:18

Ephesians 1:18 having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints,

Paul is now praying for the eyes of our hearts to be enlightened.  What does that mean?  It means that our desire would be awakened!  But awakened to what? Awakened to the glorious future reality that we have in Jesus.  Our eternal home, eternal joy, eternal perfection, eternal delight, for this is our inheritance.  

Naturally, the eyes of our heart are blind to this hope.  So pray today with Paul that you and all the saints would have the eyes of your heart enlightened so that you may live the few days you have here on earth in view of the eternal hope you have in Jesus.
